This is the story about my journey into and, hopefully, through cancer of the oesophagus.
There are number of reasons for me wishing to share my experience; some of which are selfish, some of which I would like to think are altruistic.
The blog is intended to be a frank account and, whilst I hope it is accessible and useful beyond my immediate circle of family and friends, it will be written in a style that is suitable for open-minded adults.
... and the "cyber blogs" hold their combined breaths and whisper tiny prayers in the hope that whatever it is is resolved soon and you can get home again.
My sister has a close relative enduring the same illness as you, so I am a little aware of the pain, discomfort, and eating problems associated with the disease. Like you he displays a remarkable strength of character. You are both totally selfless in your outlook, easing the journey for those closest. I hold you and yours in my daily prayers. M.A.
Hi Rumps Another hurdle thrown in your way! Lets hope whatever it is they can get it sorted tomorrow for you or at least decide what they need to do to alleviate the problem. As Diana said, in the strange shadowy recesses of cyber space your invisible friends are rooting for you and your family. Best wishes, as always Changeling x
I know what amazing courage you have, and I hope you feel secure now that you're in hospital and know you have all the help to hand that you might need. We're all thinking of you and hoping that Thursday will bring a big improvement.
May Thursday's procedure go well for you. I'm just one of many who's very much hoping they can improve things for you significantly enough to get you back home to your family as soon as possible. My very best wishes!
This is Heuston calling Appollo Swordfish...You can rest assured we have now handed over the contols to Mars...den. All will be sorted. Love to you all as always Lou & Stu xx
It really saddens me Rumps to see you going through this but admire your courage immensely. I'll be thinking of you over the next few days and hope to hear you are back home with your family soon.
