Back to the Humour

I rang Sam the Eagle at work on Thursday to discuss progress on our project and I couldn't get him to speak.  He was laughing constantly and wouldn't stop.  Sometimes there can be interference when ringing using the work set up that I have from my laptop, so I told him I would ring from the house phone.

When I got through he explained that the problem was that my voice sounded like one of the voices that I use on the silly videos and he thought that I was mucking about.  I checked the laptop and all of the effects were switched off, so I am not sure what went on.  Anyway after I got off the phone I knocked up a quick video to recreate the moment.

I know that it isn't the most tasteful but it makes us laugh!

  1. Finally got round to responding to this thread...your call was so funny, and then I realised you didn't know what I was laughing at and I could hear my voice fed back to me with the same effect.

talking of laughs..you'll remember when we both carried that set of draws downstairs from the 4th floor to the 3rd at the old office...."you go backwards" ..."no you"...." no you go backwards, its your set of draws"...

    Have a great weekend mate,

  2. Sam, I do remember that famous incident in the office. Of course the full transcript and the axis of the joke is perhaps to rude to print here. Oh what the hell..

We were carrying a big box of my stuff and as we got out of the door of the fourth floor office, to go down stairs that look like their were grafted from Anne Frank's house, I said

    "You go backwards"

You replied "No, it's your box. You back up"

To which I quipped "That's what I say to the Mrs"

It wasn't particularly funny in itelf (or true)but it captured the moment.

What was funny was that after that we couldn't stop laughing and were both hands up against the wall trying to stop ourselves. The sort of laughter were you feel like your kidneys are about to burst out of you.

When we did manage to calm down and enter the office room, we were still giggling and met with a few looks from the "drier lunches"
