I finished my last with the headline quote from the now retired boxing referee Mills Lane and that is exactly what is happening. The phoney war can be declared as being over.
Pre-operation assessmement Tue 6th July
Admission Tue 13th July
Operation Wed 14th July
At my meeting today it was confirmed that the chemotherapy had gone well and although the tumour is classified the same there has been significant shrinkage.
Just enough time to fit in the World Cup final on the Sunday 11th July.
I am so pleased for you, you must feel so good that the chemo has done it's job.
ReplyDeleteGood luck for the op, I am sure it will all go well.
It is 12 months since "Mr" was diagnosed, all I can say is the year has gone so quickly and since the end of treatment he has not looked back. I will say that they told him he would never be able to have just 3 meals a day he would have the graze and have 6 meals a day, not true, you would not know that he had a smaller stomach, he eats normally now.
Will be in contact before your op.

Hi annstonefamily, glad to hear that "Mr" continues to go from strength to strength.
ReplyDeleteThe point that you make about what you believe is a good one.
As an individual I only believe in what I find to be true and the Marsden take a similar slant. On Monday, when discussing the chemotherapy the Dr reminded me that although their studies are based on statistical analysis, each person is a unique individual.
I like to know the likely outcome but always aim to transcend it.
I look forward to a drink with you and Mr when I am better and, hopefully, a rather large plate or two of food.
