So, my son is six today. Thanks to everyone for his lovely presents and I hope that everyone who came to his football party yesterday had a great time. The weather gods certainly smiled upon us with a glorious day and after the party we continued the jolly mood in Notoplip's and Sushi's back garden.
Today, he is in good spirits but it is unfortunate that he is not well. He now has a sickness bug and has been ill a couple of times. So, we have had to cancel his Chelsea stadium morning and we are trying to rearange it for next weekend.
From a selfish viewpoint it seems that I am being pinned in by the possibility of picking up an infection. First Boogle was ill mid-week and now Huffty.
All in all it has been an eventful morning (with my visit to A&E) but he is still pleased because we have got him a new high sleeping bed.
I guess that there is no excuse for me not to - I am going to have to join Kitten upstairs and help with its assembly. I hate DIY!!!!!!
I recall assembling Boogle's high sleeper alone (ok, you were bed ridden with an horrendous tummy bug) and so it was no great shakes to find myself constucting most of Huffty's new bed alone.
ReplyDeleteYou do however, have a painfully swollen finger - although 3 blog entries were attainable!!
So here I am almost 6 hours later sitting down with a refreshing beer and a chance to pen my thoughts!
We joke each birthday and Christmas that one gift requires assembling. In the past there have been swings, trampolines, scooters, bikes and a rather large train track. Swordfish looked mightily pleased as we wrapped gifts last week - nothing to build!
I enjoyed reminding him about the bed.
I'm sure he sat on the insect to ensure a bite to avoid the DIY.
His mission, if a little painful, was just about achieved!! x
Hmmmmm, yes I see your point Kitten.
ReplyDeleteThe first blog timed at 11.13 and the last at 12:47 with tearing up boxes, carrying beds downstairs and visits in between. Those blogs clearly took a lot of time :-)
Life must be pretty normal at the moment with time for domestic sniping via the internet.
Ooohh that finger is sooooooo painful!
